I called CZ today and talked to Mike Eaglesmith, the gunsmith there, and asked him why there were no crossbolts in my new 416 rigby--he said they weren't needed--I said well my 375 H&H had one and he said--was it the safari model vs american and I said yes---he then said that's why and I asked why would that model have it vs the american not having a crkossbolt and he said because the american stock is stronger and thicker in the areas that would be problematic in the safari model--he said glass bed it and forget about it--I will still probably add the crossbolts as insurance though--but thought this was interesting and would pass it on--chris
