Tree climbing lions
      #383348 - 11/03/24 08:59 PM

Lions were thought to not be able to climb trees.

Lion prides living near Lake Manyara were renowned as being famous for tree climbing lions.

Lots of videos of lions in trees on social media.

Where to see tree climbing lions per this article:

Would most likely depend on whether or not they could reach the slanting branches by jumping. As far as climbing up a straight up and down trunk, maybe not. Too much body weight for the claws?
I had a dog that would climb the Manitoba Maple trees in my back yard. He was a pure bred Belgium Shepherd. The trees were slanted, but not as much as in the picture with the lions.

Nope. I'm sure there are videos showing a lioness going straight up trunks.
