A little help from my Aussie friends please........
      #74643 - 26/03/07 05:37 PM

G'day cobbers,

I need to buy a new Leopard hunting light and the very best one's seem to be the Lightforce range from Australia. The problem with getting them here in Africa is that no-one seems to carry the entire range and what I can buy, costs an absolute bloody fortune!

Can someone in Oz, please tell me what the local price is for a (medium sized) handheld light, the battery you carry in a bag over your shoulder and a red clip on filter........

Thanks in advance

Steve

PM me - I've got a couple of dealers that will help
you out and I can make sure you get the right thing.
(I import and Distribute product to them so get on well
with these dealers).

SL170 - approx $115 - $125

I will find out the battery system price BUT
one of my dealers has put together a 3rd party battery that
last a lot longer than the lightforce one and works really well - I have one, that's how impressed I was.

Will come back to you in the next day or so re pricing
on the battery system and red filter.

SUGGESTION
1. Postage of the battery to SA will be expensive.
Why not get all the components from the dealer
and buy a battery over there ??? We can give you the specs
so you know what we use and can look for something similar.

2. Do you need spare gloves as well ?

Damn that a quick response..... thanks!

Is that Aus or US dollars? - either way, it's a whole lot cheaper than here! - I think I have an Australian client coming over sometime this year and could get you to send them to him and then he can bring them with him...... I'm sure he won't mind...... As to the battery, your idea is probably the best idea as I'd bet the airlines wouldn't make it easy for a passenger to bring a battery.... but I can check on that anyway.

Don't understand your comment about gloves I'm afraid?

Steve

Aussie $.

He'll make it us $ if you want !!!

Sorry, I meant GLOBES (as in Light Globes).

You can get 30 watt, 75 watt and 100 watt.

ALSO - I believe (to be checked) that one of the
Lightforce Spotlights comes with 3 LED's and 1 Normal
globe so if you are walking (ie back to the car)
you can use the LED's then when shooting or
spotligting animals you can use the proper globe.

From memory it is only the smaller SL140 but I will
check.

Have a look at the Lightforce web site

www.lightforce.net.au

Go to the Australian and International site
and pick the items.

Looks like the Walkabout or the enforcer would probably the the right choice for me. I don't need the LED function as I've just bought a load of the small wind up LED torches for the blokes in camp and I don't want the battery that goes in the bottom of the torch..... a remote battery wound be much better for me. I'll also need the 240 v and 12 v chargers, a red filter and 2 or 3 spare globes..... Do you know the candlepower on these two models by any chance?

Cheers
