Got A Problem Lion on Offer
      #5401 - 05/12/03 01:14 AM

NAMIBIA- Problem LION NOW!

Here's an opportunity that won't last. Two problem lions are available NOW in our remote northwestern Namibia area. These lions have good manes and are terrorizing the local villages. Problem animals require the interested hunter to travel NOW, meaning immediately. This is a very good price for lion.

Trophy fee $5000.00
Daily rates $400.00 excluding VAT(15%) and no minimum on days
Field preperation and dipping $200.00

If you can do this now you should expect a great hunt.

470, the outfitter says there are two lions. This is in NW Namibia, I believe near Etosha.

With it being a problem animal, these must be booked and done immediately in order to have a chance at them. Generally, problem animals are nomads and travel a lot.

If you are seriously interested in this hunt you should phone me right away.

Oh No!

Something like this would be great. But alas not this time.

Can I ask a couple of general questions though. For the future perhaps.

Do you get a CITES permit and do you get to keep the trophy?

Also with regard to their being two lions, I would guess the rule is you have to shoot the first "problem" beast sighted?

Sounds like fun.

I am not sure if there is a restriction on exporting these guys (CITES). I didn't ask because the price is so good. My thought was if someone was truly interested in this hunt we would go from there and ask the question. In my experience, the outfitters generally mention right off if it is not exportable. Also, both lions are a problem, these are a pair that travel together. So the lucky hunter can shoot both, should they desire.

I think I should be a booking agent.

As far as I know there is not a required CITES permit for lions in any country, though there probably should be.

I always wonder how these "problem" hunts turn out. Seems to be little feedback. Hmmm....15 days @ $400/day + $5000, if you get one, is $11,000, which is a cheap lion hunt.

But then if "they" shoot it they get squat. Wonder if this is either guaranteed, or negotiable.
