I have a strong preference for the German no. 1 ie Pointed post and cross bars (no. 7 above). This is on rifles to be used for medium and big game.

My 30-06 has a tapered post and fine cross hair on a Weaver 4x scope. This reticle allows very accurate shooting.

My 308 lever action has a pointed post and cross bars. Good for quick shooting. This scope was meant for my 375 (a Leupold 1 3/4 - 6 x ) but being the compact model did not fit on a Mauser action.

My 375 wears a Leupold extended tube 1 3/4 - 6 x with a custom heavy pointed post and cross bar reticle. The reticle is heavier than I prefer but should be OK on a 375.

On my small game rifles - 22, 22 Mag and .222 they all have duplex reticles which are excellent for fine accurate shooting.

I would like to try the (8) above - illuminated dot with post and bars. But would want to ensure it also works well without the illuminated dot. This one is available on a Swarovski 1.1-4x. Would be excellent on a dangerous game rifle I think.

Come on other members. Tell us what you use.

I am surprised by the results so far.

Fine cross hairs - 2
German no. 4 - 1
German no.1 - 1

No duplex / 30-30 reticle type users out there?
