Nice - there are several different makers bringing out rifles such as this one, the M73, M66's, M76's, M86's and M92's in lever guns & the Colt Lightening for cowboy actin shooting. Calibres run from .38/.357 .38-40, .44-40 and .45 Colt. The pricing is all over the map, but the more you pay, the better the 'piece' - usually.

I can see why Winchester is bringing this one back. I do not think the M94 is allowed in cowboy action shooting, as it's main ctg. the .30/30 was originally brought out as a smokeless round.

Great review, also see they do the 1886's and 71's again! All good news, that .348 Win was a good cartridge.
CCH for an extra $280, doesn't seem too bad? Would like to see one done as such from Winchester.

How do the new Winchesters, Brownings and Italians (Chiappa, specifically) compare?

Dream guns, unlikely to come to pass - Winchester (or repo) 1886 in .50-110, a Colt Lightning in 50-95, marlin 1894 .50 AE and finally a winchester 94 in .375. Not classic calibres in 2, but all similar.

Sorry to dive off topic. Does anyone know if modern 45-70's can be converted to .50-110?
