Mystery Animal (cattle thingie)
      #8000 - 01/02/04 01:17 PM

So I went to a gun store a week or so ago and there were many African mounts on the wall. But one of them I didnt' recognize.

It was a shoulder mount, black hide and hair. Looked sort of like a wildebeast or some type of cow, except the horns were nothing like I'd ever seen before. Basically, it was the most satanic looking cow I've ever seen The (dark colored) horns almost appeared to go up and foward.

I saw a similar pic on here or AR but I can't find it now.

Could be a black wildebeast.

If you want to see a Satanic looking animal check out a Black Four Horned Sheep. It's like something from the Exorcist.

Is this a two horn goat where the horns have grown funny and doubled back behind the head? Or does it really have four horns?

But very UNUSUAL looking.

It is for real. A four Horned Sheep it is and a 'trophy' to be had on some game farms in the States. It is really weird looking and I think it curses hunters and requires a silver bullet.

The kids on our youth shoot usually choose one of these to shoot as it is really strange.

Is a real animal. As Mickey said, this one was hunted in Texas and a regular 30.06 bullet was enough

Nice sheep, a good conversation piece!
I have seen these as tame sheep too, do they provide much of a challenge to shoot?
I wonder how the guide describes the horns? "Shoot the one with the doubled back S/W facing horn"

No way. This sheeps are hunted in ranches, so... It's pretty easy

He said: "The one on the left"

Anyway, the SCI have a method for those sheeps. Check method 9 on the SCI website
