HUNTING IN THE PHILIPPINES

I saw a very interesting hunting offer from Mindoro Safaris, about a Water Buffalo, Sambar Deer and boars in the island of Mindoro in the Philippines. Who have heard something about this outfitter or this inusual place for hunt?

Used to see kids riding water buffaloes to school when working in the highlands of Mindanao.

Didn’t see any other game to speak of.

When working in central Borneo there was a Rusa (?) tied to a tree a block away from the office.

I think that the Tamaraw Buffalo is classed as an endangered species ,since they are unique to the Phils [as far as I know] from what I read they were fairly aggressive .
There was a hunt ,but you couldn't bring your own firearm into the Philippines ,but they supplied a 30 M1 Garand to hunt with .

Jay Carlsen used to offer water buffalo hunts in the Philippines. I knew him online. He sadly died in the USA a few years ago.

There might be posts about him on the forums. An original character.
