Marrakai, what sort of a season is the Top End having ?
      #82107 - 09/07/07 09:11 PM

Will probably be up there Aug/Sept and no bloody cane toad hunting this year.
Will it be dry enough to get out on the flood plains in the north east ?

Al:
It is drying out a bit now, but there's still a bit of water around in the north-west corner from the unseasonal rains we had in May and early June. The NE should be Ok by August, when it starts to get hot again. Certainly by September.

Drop in for a sherbet on your way through.

Here is Bakes checking zero on his backup before heading out into the bush.

It's bloody freezing....
I left marrakais place and it was 31/30..
I got down the Roper area and it was 14/8.... ....and it rained!
Improved a bit before I got home.

Marrakai, Thanks again for your kind hospitality... Did you get the shed finished? Has Maj Marty recovered?

I just got back from 8 days in QLD. JESUS it was cold. Down to minus 2 in Gympie and 3-4 where I was in Tin Can Bay. A bit of a shock after 7 years in the NT!
