It's BPE. At $5000 + import cost it's not that great of a buy. It is a nice rifle though.

Yep! She is pretty. I would have her in my collection. .577 BPE in and Alex Henry action.
Where in Italy are you know? I have been working in and out of Italy for the past few years.
Mostly west coast Italy (Carrera / Massa / Pisa), but now Venice area or in Milan.

Beautiful gun. I love these. A 450 is a dream but a 577, now that is true fantasy. Very nice.

Hey Casper, do you see these around for less money ??? Just curious as I have seen hammerless "Farq" butchered into Varmint guns that bring this kind of money, let alone one that has a chance at being original.

Quick question to all, Why do so many of these have missing stalking safeties ???? Where thay intentionally removed or where they easily knock away ????.

I haunt the British gun auctions and see 4 or 5 a year cheaper than this. Very few .577s though, it isn't mentioned which .577 this is. I'd bet it's not the .577 2 3/4" or 3". The wood fit makes me think it might be a restock also. I am going to pick up one this Friday that I bought last November. It is a .360 though. Paid $800 for it.

Heavy restoration and perhaps re-stocking on that one - heavy piting or marking on the top of the block by thge looks of it. Nice job done, though.

Not sure it's worth that money. Could be a Snider - in which case, trouble for proper bullet size and proper length of brass, etc, etc - but not for a handloader.
