Booster for Zeiss V 5-15x42 orDialyt/Classic 10x40?

I'm considering a "booster" to mount on either my riflescope or my binoculars.

It's primary use will be hunting, to asess game at longer distances.

Has anyone used these? (Particulary the zeiss type)

Is it any useful, or am I better off with a spotting scope?

Any suggestions are welcome!
