Locks and Bores?

Out of interest, not for a project.

Can any lock be used to build the larger rifles? Say from 8 to 4 bore.
Just mainly looking at these ones:

CVA KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK AND PERCUSSION
T.GIBBON'S HAWKENS LOCK L&R
CVA PENNSYLVANIA & FRONTIER FLINTLOCK & PERCUSSION
CVA HAWKEN FLINTLOCK & PERCUSSION
PEDERSOLI KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK & PERCUSSION
