Blue dot powder and boreguns??
      12/08/07 03:18 AM

hey guys!

In most of the articals about gaugeguns and loading for them..Blue Dot powder shows up....good thing...because we can get Blue dot here in denmark..

1) My 10 Bore manton will be shooting blackpowder aswell as smokeless...but natually the volume of smokeless ( 60 grain Blue Dot) will not fill up the the 10bore 3.25" case.
Will it be safe to fill the rest of the volume with feltwads??...or maybe leave a little airspace?? I can get all the fiber/felt wads in 10 gauge I want..or would dakronfiber work just as well??.

2) Could it be feasable/safe to make up some multible ball loads..like 2-3 balls pr case??

3) I have ordered two bulletmols from NEI handtools...one in 900grain and another in 1080grain.
In all the old books these gauge guns, shooting conical balls, all state that hardned lead
should be used. What was considered hardned lead in the old days? 20 brinell?

Thanks
