Recocking a Mauser Bolt
      01/04/07 05:56 AM

If anyone out there is like me, once every couple of years I inadvertently do something during cleaning a mauser rifle that uncocks the bolt. It is that loud "click" many of us know so well that evokes an immediate verbal response.

The problem is, that while it happens, it happens so infrequently that I can never remember exactlly what to do to get it recocked.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but I found a site with pictures that takes you step by step.

Here you go:

http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/mauserboltfix/index.asp

In case the link someday breaks down, perhaps someone with more web savy that I can post the instructions with the pictures.
