I must admit I have always had a softspot for the true pre-war catridges and especially like the .505Gibbs.
I know the .500Jeffery(interwar cartridge) may have a better powder effeciency and more bullets to choose from. However how many bullets does one need really?. Regarding powder..I can afford the x-tra 20 grain over the jeffery. I know some might
say the .500 Jeffery takes a shorter stroke to reload into the chamber, but that ofcouse would only be true if a standard length M98 is used.
