pinfire double rifle Peterlongo/Innsbruck
      #219116 - 06/11/12 05:51 AM

described as a 12mm double rifle I believe its a 32 bore
made by Peterlong in Innsbruck/Austria I would say that this double rifle is not made later than 1880 but probably between 1860 -1870. sold for 1510 euro on egun in germany.

That rifle looks familiar.
I hope whoever bought it ends up getting it out in the field.

Bob-

I make ammunition for my pinfire double rifles.
Each rifle can need it's own special components, as pretty much all of mine have shown. Moulds, tools, and cartridge cases have been necessary, but not difficult to produce for all of them I've gotten running.

The process can take time and research, but it's always been worth the effort.

Cheers

32 bore is .52 caliber. Brass will likely have to be turned, which is no real problem as it's most likely a short case. As for the pins and 'primers' that's no big deal either. I'm with Tinker - nice rifle and needs to be shot. A rather rapid twist it appears, close to a turn in the length of the tubes, therefore for short bullet. With light loads, a round ball would work just fine, full size or tightly patched. A fun gun to work with, for sure.
