Need a Chapuis expert's help

The locking bolt on my UGEX 9.3x74 does not stay back when I open the action and the lever does not hold open. (The gun is new and I have about 400 rounds through it.) The button at the top of the action that is supposed to be spring loaded to make the lever snap closed when I close the action is loose; it just goes in and out with its own weight. Obviously the spring that activates the button and the hold open for the lever is either broken or stuck. I'll have to make a tool to get the stock nut off to take the stock off to look at the action. Is removing the stock the first step in dissasembly or does the trigger group come out by removing the pin first?
