Perfect performance from my Thys sidelock in 458wm

Just back today from the hunt of a lifetime.

Nine elephants, six tuskless, two PAC bulls and a tusked cow in self defense, a buff and a klipspringer at 75yds with my double.

Perfect function and performance. My 500gr Woodleigh loads at 2135fps worked great, but my 450gr North Fork loads at 2190fps were phenominal. Incredible penetration including end to end and out the boss on the departing buff, six feet in elephnat body shots 53" and out on a frontal brain shot...

Bulldog,

I returned just this morning, which was the latest of two options. I left Sept 11.

Due to some business issues my departure was hurried and one of the things I didn't get done was new memory cards for my camera. Buzz took some photos for me til his camersa went tits up then the videographer took some. It'l taake a while to get together and I'll post a report then.

Looks like your 458 WM DR is working out just fine! Congratulations on your adventure! Remember the first time you posted about a double in a 458 WM? Obviously, ONLY rimmed cartridges are supposed to work in a double.
