Off to the BGRC Lodi Match
      #79853 - 03/06/07 07:24 PM

One of the best things that happened to me after I joined the Nitroexpress forums was to meet some great people here and make friendships that will last forever. In about twenty minutes from now I'm going to be off to celebrate this in the most pleasant way possible - participating at the Big Game RIfle Club of North America Match at Lodi WI.

There will be one more match this year and next year the International Match would be held at Lodi with big bore and double rifle shooters from several countries coming here. There will be mroe details after I talk to Ernie and Gerri Stallman and SBS 470 today. LAdies and gentlemen, please do find time to participate next year - this is, beyond doubt, the friendliest event in shooting that I have ever enjoyed and I have done a bit of shooting since the 70s.

There will be pictures to tempt those who are undecided about coming, of course, this evening or tomorrow.

Good hunting, everyone!

How did the match turn out? I hope you were able to photo some matches and perhaps some unusual guns? TIA. Rustyzipper

Sorry about the delay, gentlemen. Work has just been killing. Here are some of the pictures that I have on my camera. There are some more on that of a friend who accompanied me. I'll post them in a day or two after I get them from him.

Rustyzipper,

You're welcome. My apologies as I was swamped with work and got delayed posting this. There will be a second match in September if you would like to participate.

John,

It was great fun though I had to leave early and couldn't participate in the Hunter Class event as I had to be back in Chicago early. I'm hoping to participate in the September event.

As these are small events compared to the huge ones that you have in Australia, I can only imagine how much more fun your events must be! Hope to make it down under sometime in the future but I'll have to buy something that kicks hard before that, I guess!

My friend from India who accompanied me has several more pictures but on both occasions when he e-mailed them to me, the attachment didn't come along with his mail for some reason. I'll upload them from his place this weekend when I meet him.

Good hunting, everyone!
