Hi,

As an ex-military person, I was wondering if anybody has tried the Browning .50 calibre as a basis for a double rifle?

As against 36 pounds for the Armalite AR50. I never thought about the weight!

At 11 lbs, I think I would rather shoot Kamikaze's .600 NE pistol!!!!

I seem to recall Elmer saing something around 16 lb. would be OK- OUCH!!

In addition to the weight, the thing that makes a 50 shootable without using a mount ot tripod is a muzzle breke. Now that would be one interesting looking brake

Im sure you could use a .50BMG (12.7X99mm) in a double rifle, but it would recoil something similar to a 4 Bore. Thats the kind of rifle that kills at both ends!
