Any suggestions would be appreciated..went to UPS last evening to mail a box of .470 ammo to a member of this site--they would box it for me but would not allow me to send it with them..

What/who do you guys use??

Did you go to a UPS STORE or the actual shipping facility/terminal? I have found that the UPS retail stores will not ship ammo or any other hazardous or firearm related stuff. You have to take it to the UPS terminal/facility and they will ship it.

Last week I sent over 100lbs of loaded ammunition to someone here in the US.
I had to label it properly and ship via UPS

Look here for a simplified guide to shipping ammo.

Also, as I've had a good relationship with my local UPS store owner, he took my properly labeled crates of shotgun ammunition and put them through the system for me.
I didn't have to go to the shipping hub.

Cheers

That's why I no longer use UPS. ( for ANYTHING)

Their policies are more restrictive then the Federal law. They have an anti-gun bent and have ever since they sold a large part of their shares of stock to foreign companies.
I use Fed-Ex.
The don't even ask what's in the box unless it's going out of the country.
