Hello friends:

I always like entangle, now I'd like my recommendation, just out of curiosity, the best tips of the caliber of the matter, to lower safely out of a buffalo. Thank you.

Woodleigh 300 grain Softs and solids. The Superior Cartrdige company and the A-Squre cartridges have high reputations. The new Kynoch British cartridges have Woodleighs and a good reputation. Expensive. Federal Cartridge also has premuim bullets in 300 grain.
All have good reputations hunting cape buffalo.

Thank you, I guess to me by Federal inclined, because it is cheaper ammunition.

I've had good luck with a number of factory .375 loads, including Remington 300g Swift A-Frames and Federal high energy 300g Trophy bonded bear claws. Both my Son and Daughter shot Buffalo's with the Federal load, which completely scrambled the Buff's heart after breaking the shoulder and then exiting the other side.

One time I took Remington Core-lokt 270g loads when I only planned to use the .375 on plains game, and that worked very well on Sable, Hartebeest, Eland, etc.

I think Federal 300g Trophy bonded sledgehammers are the best factory solids, tho I haven't tried the latest steel jacketed Hornady's. I found the Hornady heavy bronze jacket solids would flatten at the base, but I'm sure the new steel jacket ones are a different story.

Thanks for your answer, I'm wondering in the armouries of my country to see if I find ammunition Hornady for my 375 H & H Magnum. In Spain I want to hunt wild boar and I will use the Remington Core Lock of 270 grains, but for wild boar land use 338 Winchester Magnum Power Point with the tip of 200 grains of Winchester.

I am using the 300 grain Swift A-Frame. I think Remington Safari Grade is loaded with that bullet. I handload mine and they are quite accurate. You will most likely use that for you first shot and the back up your shot with solids. I am using 300 grain Hornady solids.

I join his friend bigmaxx recipes, if someday I have opportunity to go out of a buffalo hunt, even a female. Although by then I hope to have my great calibre, 458 Lott.

Your .375 would be adequate for any buffalo hunting you might do. The big bores are great though. I am taking the Ruger Hawkeye African in .375 ruger to Zimbabwe, and wont hesitate to use it on buffalo if I have problems with the .458 lott. I doubt any problem arises, but its nice to have a second rifle capable of taking the big stuff down if problems do arise.

Bigmaxx, if everything is whim, a poor guy like myself who simply take the rifle from 458 Lott, a box of ammunition and watch the whole, moved into his imagination to black continent ... but only that, with the imagination.
