Glass bed it as soon as you get your hands on it!

I love mine - have just successfully hunted 2 Buffalo in the Northern Territory here in Australia with mine and it worked flawlessly.

I have a custom stock on mine and replaced the safari sights for N.E.C.G sights.

I suggest you have a gunsmith check the trigger and stone it,slick up and bed the action and check that the open sights are screwed on well.

You may want to replace your factory exrtractor with a stainless one from Brownells or similar ( a few guys on the forum advised me to do this as they are better quality) and keep the factory one as a spare - particularly if you hunt in some remote area.

Its a good caliber - just do not load it too hot and you will have no problems. I l,oad a 400 gn Woodleigh soft and 410 gn Woodleigh solid at 2300 fps and it works a treat - a mild load with no pressure signs at all. Your best powder over there for the 416 RM is Rel 15 I believe.

Good luck with it.
