shot this bull today only 700 meters from where dad shot his buff shot it with the 404 using 400 gr woodlies and 70 grains 2208

And finally...a pic of one of these things!!

Read about them, but can't remember seeing a picture.

The thing looks a bit like a Hereford.

How about a natural history lesson; Where did they come from, how many in Oz {or wherever they are also}, interbreed with water buff, were they originally domestic, now gone AWOL, etc???

Very huge bull. Excellent caliber, between 375 and 416, with very good performance in large game. Again congratulations.

I agree Ovny, excellent calibre - but with .323 bullets it is actually bigger than the .416. Not that it would make a huge difference for hunting

Plenty of good steaks there pato. Woodies soft or solids? Do you use the standing leaves on the rear sight or are they up for the photo?

Understatement !

They are more prone to charging than Buffalo so
they are always good fun !!!
